Russell Kirk on Dematerialization
Conservative
philosopher scholar Russell Kirk (1918-1994), a late-in-life convert from
Atheism to Christianity and a strong believer in the Shroud's authenticity
on the notion of dematerialization:
But the Resurrection in the flesh—which some now hint was bound up with nuclear disintegration and reintegration, our solid flesh being known now to consist of innumerable electrical particles held in coherence by means of which we know nothing—proved that Jesus the son had transcended matter and was divine.
